Abstract
Introduction Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes a long period of inflammation in the joints. This might cause a decrease in the quality of life of a person resulting in limited activity, depression. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self management and the quality of life of patients with Rheumatoid arthritis. This research method uses quantitative research by using descriptive correlation research methods. Then this research uses a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The number of respondents in this study were 48 patients with rheumatoid arthritis in Mancasan village, the working area of the Baki sub-district health center. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study were the majority of female sufferers with age categories including late adulthood, for the majority of primary school education categories, and the majority of farmers' occupational categories. Self management (73.9%) self management is sufficient. Quality of life (89.6%) good quality of life of 48 respondents. There is no relationship between self management and the quality of life of patients with Rhemuatoid arthritis. Conclusion self management and quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis in Mancasan village are quite good and there is no relationship between self management and the quality of life of patients with Rheumatoid arthrtis in Mancasan village the working area of the Baki sub-district health center.
