Abstract
Coronary heart disease is a heart disease that occurs due to decreased blood supply to the heart muscle caused by narrowed or blocked coronary arteries (atherosclerosis) so that the heart can experience ischemia and myocardial infarction can occur. There are many factors that influence a person's risk of developing CHD and the risk of recurrence in the sufferer. This study aims to determine the description of the respondent's characteristics and comorbidities in patients with coronary heart disease. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. In this study, researchers examined the characteristics of respondents and comorbidities in CHD patients who underwent cardiac catheterization. This study uses secondary data obtained from the medical records of Dr. RSUP. Kariadi Semarang. The sample in this study amounted to 270 respondents who were obtained using purposive techniques. The results of the research on respondent characteristics and comorbidities in CHD patients showed that the majority of patients with coronary heart disease were 51-60 years old (38.9%), the majority were male (77.8%), the majority had a high school education history (46.7%), work history the majority are self-employed (36.7%), the majority of marital status are married (90.7%), the type of majority action is PAC (60.7%), the goal of the majority is diagnostic (60%), the majority risk factor is smoking (30.4%), and the majority of comorbidities is hypertension (29.6%).
