Abstract

ABSTRACT Muhammadiyah Kottabarat Surakarta Senior High School, through one of its school programs, namely the habituation of Islamic customs to instill the values of character education. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the implementation of civilized habituation to instill the values of character education in PK Muhammadiyah High School Kottabarat Surakarta? and what character values are instilled through the habituation of Islamic customs in PK Muhammadiyah High School Kottabarat Surakarta ?. While the purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Islamic civilization habituation to instill the values of character education and identify the values of character education instilled through Islamic civilization habituation in PK Muhammadiyah High School Kottabarat Surakarta. This research is a field research conducted at Muhammadiyah High School PK Kottabarat Surakarta. The approach of the research is using a qualitative approach . Data collection techniques obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. And for data analysis techniques the authors use stages such as, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions (verification). The results of this study are the implementation of Islamic civilization habituation to instill the values of character education can be said to be quite effective, and carried out in accordance with the habituation of each Islamic custom, because it is done at all times in daily activities at the school. The custom of Islamic courtesy includes, the prayer, the eating and drinking, the dressing, the learning or learning, the teacher, the talking, the meeting, the social, the mosque, and the reading and memorization of the Qur'an 'an. The values of character education that are instilled through the habituation of Islamic civilization certainly bring positive impacts for students, such as religious values, honesty, independence, responsibility, discipline, courtesy, democracy, love for peace, curiosity, hard work, creative, appreciate achievement, and love to read.
