Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' critical thinking processes in solving problems of the Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV) based on the level of mathematical ability. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Subjects taken in this study consisted of 6 students. Data collection is done by tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed by reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, subjects with high levels of mathematical ability (KMT) meet all indicators of critical thinking. Subjects with moderate levels of mathematical ability (KMS) meet two or three indicators of critical thinking. Subjects with low levels of mathematical ability (KMR) meet one or two indicators of critical thinking.
