Abstract
Poverty is a complex problem because it involves various aspects such as the right to fulfill food, employment, income and many more. For poverty to decline, it requires support and cooperation from the community and the seriousness of the government in dealing with this problem. This study aims to analyze the effect of unemployment, government spending, income per capita, and foreign investment and domestic investment on poverty levels in Banten province in 2010-2018. This research is a quantitative research which applied panel data regression analysis. Based on the results, it was found that the level of unemployment had a positive effect on poverty levels, while government spending had a significant negative effect on poverty. However, per capita income and FDI and domestic investment did not affect poverty levels in Banten province. Policy recommendations that can be taken are to increase economic growth and the opening of new jobs through investment-based investment that are labor intensive not just capital intensive, so that it can increase the level of people’s income.
