Abstract

Work shift systems are often implemented by companies to increase production targets.shift system can have an impact on health problems both acute and chronic experienced by workers.Age can affect the physical condition and endurance of workers where as they get older the immune system will decrease and be vulnerable to health problems. This Study was aimed to know correlation between age andhealth problems acute and chronic in shift workers at PT. Dan Liris Sukoharjo. This research uses observational analytic method with cross sectional approach. Population in this research is the shift workers weaving II totaling 229 worker. Cluster Random Sampling method was used to take sample. Data taken from respondents by interview using a questionnaire.Statistical tests using the Spearman rank correlation test with a significant level of p value = 0.01 and r = 0.24 in acute health disorders and p value 0.01 with r = 0.24, which shows the corrrelation between age andhealth problems acute in workers. It is recommended for shift workers PT. Dan Liris Sukoharjo to maintain physical fitness with exercise and must be able to divide normal sleep time.
