Abstract

This study aims to analyze income inequality in Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara and the influencing factors. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance. This study uses panel data analysis method which is a combination of cross section and time series consisting of 8 provinces in Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara during the 2014-2018 time period. The results of this study indicate that the GDP per capita variable has a significant negative effect and the number of people has a significant positive effect on income inequality as calculated by the Williamson Index. While the TPAK, UMP, and DAU variables did not affect income inequality in Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara in 2014-2018.
