Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the crystal structure and compounds formed in the connection area of aluminium and aluminium plates with alusol fillers and local fillers using brazed joints. The material used in this study is aluminum 6061 series, alusol filler, and local filler. In this study the standard for specimen making is ASME IX, XRD testing is used to determine the crystal structure and compounds formed in the brazed junction region. The results showed that the first material formed was Brazing between Aluminum and Aluminum using alusol filler formed 〖 Al〗_4 C_3 compound had the highest peak at an angle of 65.38 ° with an intensity of 628 cps. The crystal structure is Rhombohedral and a density of 2,998 g/〖cm〗^3, the second Brazing between Aluminium and Aluminium using a local alloy filler formed SiC compound has the highest peak at an angle of 38.78 ° with an intensity of 7602 cps. The crystal structure is Hexagonal and a density of 3,174 g/〖cm〗^3, and the Compound 〖 Al〗_4 C_3 has the highest peak at an angle of 78.52 ° with an intensity of 522 cps, the crystal structure is Rhombohedral and density of 2,998 g/〖cm〗^3.
