Abstract

Leadership is an important aspect of Islam that exist for a long time, from the time of the Prophet until the present day. Success in terms of Islamic leadership can be obtained trough the capabilities of these leaders. Their contribution to lead makes the prospective leaders afterwards oriented to the ways and models of the leaders in charge of their followers. Departing from this point, which is the difference in the way leaders lead their subordinates followers, it needs to be examined as to what kind of leadership model is good to apply. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method by studying, describing and analyzing the data from various information sourced from the book an interprentive book available in the libraries and other documents. The data is collected by way of documentation. This study intends to explore the model of successful female leadership in the time of the Prophet and has also been mentioned in the Qur’an. It was explained that there was once a woman figure namely Bilqis Queen who was extraordinary in leading her people in a very interesting way and deserves to be emulated. The characteristics of Bilqis in leading are relevant to be applied by the world leaders at this time, especially in Islam. The democratic way leadership model, always involves subordinates in any case, especially when deciding a case. Queen Bilqis can lead by respecting each member and higher-ups of her kingdom, both in thinking and in action.
