Abstract

Settlement is basic needs that very important in human life. Out of 5 human needs clothing (clothes), food (food), place (settlement) , education, and health, it appears that settlements occupy a central position, therefore an increase in settlements also improve the quality of life. Now humans live not just as a shelter but more that that includes houses and all facilities like stock of drinking water, lighting, transportation, education, health etc. The aims of thia research (1) To describe the settlement patterns of districts Wonogiri in 2008 and 2018. (2) To describe developments and changes in settlement patterns of districts Wonogiri in 2008 and 2018. (3) To analyze the factors that cause changes and developments in settlement patterns of districts Wonogiri in 2008 and 2018. Reseach method used know settlement distribution patterns that is used Nearest Neighbour Analysis. While to know factora of development and pattern change in 2008 and 2018 uaed overlay. Result of the research (1) Settlement patterns in Wonogiri Subdistrict in 2008 were dominated by cluster patterns in which of the 15 villages there were 8 clustered patterns, random patterns 6 villages and dispersed patterns 1 Village. While the settlement pattern in 2018 is dominated by a random pattern with a ratio of the number of villages clustered there are 6, spread 6 villages and dispersed pattern 3 villages; (2) The settlement pattern of each village in Wonogiri District from 2008 to 2018 has experienced a developmental pattern, while the settlement patterns change there are 4 villages, namely Pokoh Kidul Village and Bulusulur Village which were originally clustered (random pattern), whereas Giripurwo Village and Wonokarto Village experienced a change from a random pattern to a uniform pattern (dispersed pattern); (3) Factors that influence the development and change of patterns in Wonogiri Subdistrict are slope slope, altitude, population density, affordability, and level of distribution of public facilities.
