Abstract
Metal Spinning is the process of forming in which a metal plate is rotated at a certain speed and is pressurized using a forming lever so that the metal plate is formed in the form of a pattern (mandrel). The combination of the rotary motion and the compressive force of the forming lever will cause deformation on the metal plate so as to produce the product. The machine used in the metal spinning process is a modified lathe. The purpose of this final project research is about the comparison of the speed of RPM to the wall surface roughness on the work, while the RPM on the surface of the object. This study uses an 1100 aluminum alloy shaped plate with a thickness of 1 mm with a diameter of 230 mm. Based on the results of research and discussion can conclude the results of research on the purpose of the average test based on the results of the Mandrel acceleration test is inversely proportional to the Roughness obtained, the results of the distribution test that measures usage at a speed of 400 RPM.
