Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tea production, tea consumption, international tea prices, exchange rates, and land area on the volume of Indonesian tea exports in the 1990-2018 period. The data used are time series data obtained from the World Bank, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Central Statistics Agency. The analytical model used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using Error Correction Model (ECM) or direct ECM. Regression results show that in the short term the tea production variable has a positive and significant effect. Tea consumption variables in the short and long term have a negative and significant effect on the volume of tea exports. Exchange rate variables in the long run have a negative and significant effect. All independent variables simultaneously influence the volume of tea exports. The most dominant variable influencing the export volume of tea is tea production in the short run.
