Abstract

This study is entitled "Foreign Debt Shock, Balance of Trade and Monetary Policy as a Result of the Balance of Payment Deficit in Indonesia in 2001-2018. This study aims to determine and analyze foreign debt, balance of trade, interest rates, exchange rates against the balance of payments in Indonesia in 2001-2018. The dependent variable is the Balance of Payments, and the independent variable is Foreign Debt, the Balance of Trade, the interest rate and the exchange rate. The research method used in this research is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression so that it can find out the factors that influence the Balance of Payments. The type of data used in this study is a combined secondary data from cross section data which is 34 provinces in Indonesia and time series, namely 2001-2018. The data obtained were obtained from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency, World Bank and Ministry of Finance
