Abstract
The study aims to determine the percentage of depreciation on the casting process of gray cast iron body rotary pump centrifuges. By knowing the average percentage of depreciation is expected to be able to make proper pattern and mold design for body casting centrifugal rotary pump with gray cast iron material. In the process of casting begins with collecting data challenge the gray cast iron material through the chemical composition test and the percentage of depreciation on the material. Then design the template pattern using solid work to measure the size of the mold to be created and perform the casting. From the results of the foundry we measured the castings product and compared to the size of the pattern design made. The result of gray cast iron experienced an average percentage depreciation of 1.35%.
