Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether the 2013 curriculum IX grade junior high school mathematics student book has been presented in accordance with the implementation of scientific approaches and authentic assessments. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative approach that was preceded by the development of a book suitability analysis instrument in terms of the implementation of the scientific approach and authentic assessment. Descriptions in this study were carried out by providing an overview of the contents of the book. The book suitability scoring analysis sheet and the book suitability analysis instrument validation sheet are part of the research instruments used. Data collection methods used are the method of documentation and observation and interviews to obtain supporting data. The results of the analysis of the suitability of the book in terms of the implementation of the scientific approach have a 90.0% conformity percentage with a very good category. The results of the analysis of the suitability of the book in terms of the implementation of the scientific approach and authentic assessment each have a percentage of suitability of 90.0% and 93.75% with a very good category.
