Abstract

Student satisfaction is a positive attitude of students to the Ministry of Higher Education because of the suitability between the expectations of the service compared to the reality that it receives. External factors of student satisfaction are a concern in the process of learning and service to students. Student satisfaction is influenced by external factors including, lecturers competence, lecturers performance, administration services, and campus facilities. The purpose of this research is to describe the external factors affecting student satisfaction. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research types with cross sectional approaches. The sampling techniques used are consequtive sampling. The number of respondents in this study was 130 students of the UMS Program of Nursing Studies, which included regular 2nd semester, 4 regular, 6 regular, and 8 regular. Data analysis using univariat analysis. The age of majority respondent is 20 years old. Semester of respondents at most semester 4. The gender of the majority female respondent. Sitting Status of the respondent staying at most boarding. Parental work of most civil servants. The external factor that affects the student satisfaction of nursing study Program is with the highest mean 38.42 performance lecturer, Lecturer competence with mean 38.24, campus facilities with mean 37.39, and Administrative Service Administration course with mean 30.28.
