Abstract
This research focuses on the analysis of the use of social media youtube and instagram by the English teachers in teaching vocabulary to the fourth grade students of SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo. This research aimed at describing the use of social media YouTube and Instagram by the English teachers in teaching vocabulary for the fourth grade students of SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo in the academic year of 2019/ 2020. Specifically, it describes the teaching and learning process, the students’ responses, and the difficulties of the use of social media Youtube and Instagram in teaching vocabulary. The data collection technique applied in this research were observation, interview, documentation and visual materials, and deciding the protocol of information record. The data analysis consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. Triangulation technique used in this research was by using triangulation method. The result of the analysis shows that the researcher found 4 findings of the teachers in teaching vocabulary;1) The process of teaching learning vocabulary using social media Youtube and Instagram by the English teachers. 2) The students response. 3) The difficulties in the use of social media Youtube and Instagram by the English teachers in teaching vocabulary.
