Abstract

This study aims to describe community participation development in Pabelan Village, Kartasura Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency 2019. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study design. This research was conducted in Pabelan Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency. The resource persons of this research are the village head, village secretary, planning committee and Pabelan Village community leaders. The problem in this research is about the forms of community participation, the constraints of community participation, and alternative solutions to overcome the obstacles in Pabelan Village. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation tecniques or data collection methods and data sources. Analysis of the data used is the interactive model of Miles Huberman which includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the form of community participation in Pabelan Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency is to provide assistance in the form of energy and thought. The obstacle to community participation is the lack of understanding of the importance of community participation in development. An alternative solution is to hold a socialization about the importance of community participation in development. Based on the results of research on participation in development in Pabelan Village, the implication is that all villages that want to advance must involve the community in every development starting from the planning, implementation, utilization, and evaluation of development results.
