Abstract

Traffic violations committed by heavy-duty vehicles are regulated in Law Number 22 Year 2009. This study aims to find out how the Signs Effectiveness of Violations by Vehicle Groups that Exceeds Tonnage by the Transportation Agency, to find out How Effectiveness of Decreasing Goods on Violations by Groups Vehicles that Exceed Tonnage by the Transportation Agency and know how the Effectiveness of the Tickets against Violations by the Vehicle Group Exceeding Tonnage by the Transportation Agency. This research uses an empirical juridical approach. Type of research description. The results showed that the things that encourage and / or cause drivers to commit a criminal offense for road tonnage are derived from various factors including the field, namely the lack of attention and care of road signs by related parties and the lack of scholarship from the driver himself. The process of law enforcement systems for road tonnage offenders prioritizes a preventive approach in the form of preventive measures to realize security, safety, order and smooth traffic and minimize the occurrence of violations that can cause accidents and congestion on the highway, namely by installing signs, installation of road markings, and assign field officers. The solution to be able to uphold the traffic system and road transportation is by conducting empowerment and improving the quality of the Transportation Agency or from the Transportation Service officers themselves (PPNS investigators of the Transportation Agency).
