Abstract

This research aims to, describe (1) the sociohistoric of Dee Lestari, (2) the structure of AK novel by Dee Lestari, (3) the social aspects in AK novel by Dee Lestari, and (4) the implementation of social aspects in AK novel created by Dewi Lestari in teaching literature at senior high school. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The techniques of collecting data are through library, heed and taking notes. The type of research is library research and the data validation uses triangluation theory. The reseach results are: (1) Dee Lestari's sociohistorical background with the original name Dewi Lestari Simangunsong, a reliable writer and musician with many works that she has created. (2) The structure of AK novel which consists of adventurous theme, mixed plot, main and supporting characters and has setting of place, setting of time, and cultural setting. (3) The social aspects in this novel are the social life which is attached to the characters, as well as review of cultural, socio-environmental, and economic aspects. (4) The results will be implemented into literary teaching materials at senior high school in KD 3.11 of class XI, considering into language, psychological aspects, and aspects of students' cultural backgrounds.
