Abstract

ABSTACT Hoax is a phenomenon that spread in the society. It was bieng viral by the social media like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, ect. Hoax is not a new case, in history of Islam it ever happened to Aisha r.a. that written in the Quran surah al-Nu>r chapter 11-20. Allah gives us steps to deal with hoaxes and to understand this matter interpretation is needed. Wahbah Zuhaily is one of contemporary intrepeters whose discussion entered the realm of modern life, dinamic, and adaptive to the times, so theme of hoax with the title : Ban on Spreading Hoax in The Quran (Interpretation of Surah al-Nu>r chapter 11-20 According to Wahabah al-Zuhaily on Tafseer al-Muni>r) is intresting study. The research foccused on discusing about Wahbah al-Zuhaily’s interpretation on surah al-Nu>r cahpter 11-20 about ban on spreading hoax. The purpose of his study is to find out his interpretation in surah al-Nu>r chapter 11-20 about ban on spreding hoax. This reseach is a library research with descriptive analize approach by describing, explinning, and analizing Wahbah al-Zuhaily’s interpretation in surah al-Nu>r chapter 11-20 about ban on spreding hoax. The main source of this study is Tafseer al-Muni>r by Wahbah al-Zuhaily transleted by Abdul Hayyi al-Kattani published by Gema Insani in Jakarta 2013 and the second resource are books, jurnals, and articles that related to this study. The result of this study is Wahbah al-Zuhaily explain the meaning of ifk is a lie or hoax. Hoax is a great sin and the spreader get a doom on the world and hereafter according to the level of their role and involment in spreading hoaxes. The impact of hoaxes are personal impact, split impact, and undermind puplic performance impact. The solution dealing with hoaxes that are clyrifying, bringging witnesse to proof the truth, speaking based on knowladge, prejudice, and Allah educates his servants by giving a warning and threats to the hoax’s spreader.
