Abstract
This study aims to determine (1) the effect of understanding citizenship on the development of civic skills in students, (2) the influence of the role of intra-campus organizations on the development of civic skills in students and (3) the effect of understanding citizenship and the role of intra-campus organizations on the development of civic skills in students . This type of research used survey research. The study population was students of PPKn FKIP UMS class of 2015 to 2018. The sample in this study was 125 respondents. The sampling technique used is Quota Purposive Proporional Random Sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire in the form of google form. The prerequisite tests used were normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test and homosedasticity test. The analysis used is multiple linear regression test, F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results showed that: (1) There was a positive and insignificant influence on the variable of citizenship understanding on the development of civic skills in PPKn FKIP UMS students in the academic year 2019/2020. This is indicated by the t value of the variable understanding of citizenship 0.456 with a significant level of 0.649. (2) There is a positive and significant influence on the role of intra-campus organizational variables on the development of civic skills in the PPKn FKIP UMS students in the academic year 2019/2020. This is indicated by the tcount value of the intra-campus organizational role variable of 5.447 with a significance level of 0,000. (3) There is a significant influence on the variable of understanding citizenship and the role of intra-campus organizations together towards the development of civic skills in the PPKn FKIP UMS students in the academic year 2019/2020. This is indicated by the calculated F value of 15,076 with a significance level of 0,000.
