Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the coping strategies of adolescent perpetrators of sexual violence in LPKA Kutoarjo. The research method used is descriptive qualitative data collected through interviews with 4 informants selected using purposive sampling techniques with predetermined criteria by taking some adolescent inmates who are actually selected according to the specific characteristics possessed by informants, namely adolescents men aged 14-18 years who have cases articles 81 and 82 namely sexual violence and at least have been in LPuto Kutoarjo ± 2 months. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that each individual has a different way of dealing with the problem at hand. Social support influences adolescent coping strategies in prisons so as to create positive outcomes such as self-confidence that exist in adolescents. With this adolescent perpetrators of sexual violence can still have confidence in themselves. The results of the study indicate that the coping strategy used there are two forms, namely Emotion Focus Coping and Problem Focused Coping.
