Abstract
This research aims to know the influence of quality motivation, career motivation, economic motivation, motivation to seek knowledge, education costs and the long education of interest in accounting students to follow the education profession Accounting (PPAk). This research is a case study, the population in this study is all students of S1 Economics Department of Accounting for Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta 2015 as much as 367. Sample sampling techniques Use the Convenience Sampling technique so that the samples are used as much as 79. The data analysis techniques used in this study are equations of multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed no quality motivation influence on student interest to attend Accounting profession Education (PPAk). Evidenced by the value of significance (0.468) > α (0.05) or T count (0730) < t Table (1.66437) as H0: Received. There is a career motivation influence on student interest to follow the education profession Accounting (PPAk) evidenced by the value of significance (0.014) < α (0.05) or T count (2.525) > T table (1.66437) as H0: rejected. There is no influence on the economic motivation to students ' interest in attending Accounting profession Education (PPAk) evidenced by the value of significance (0.623) > α (0.05) or T count (0.493) < t Table (1.66437) as H0: Received. There is an influence of motivation to seek knowledge of students ' interest to follow the education profession Accounting (PPAk) evidenced by the value of significance (0.014) < α (0.05) or T count (2,516) > T table (1.66437) as H0: rejected. There is no cost to education and long education of student interest to follow the accounting profession Education (PPAk) evidenced by the value of significance (0.145) > α (0.05) or T count (-1.474) < t Table (1.66437) as H0: Received. There is a long education influence on student interest to follow the education profession Accounting (PPAk) evidenced by the value of significance (0.000) < α (0.05) or T count (4.516) > T table (1.66437) as H0: rejected.
