Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) whether the attribute variables of leadership behaviors consist of empathized abilities, actions that reflect the mission, self-esteem, self-image development behaviour, confidence in competency Followers, creation behaviour for followers to experience success has an influence on employee performance? (2) which is dominant most influential to the performance of employees of Pondok Pesantren Modern Islamic Assalaam Surakarta? The population in this study is all employees at the Pondok Pesantren Modern Islamic Assalaam Surakarta. Sampling in this study is purposive sampling so that the sample obtained as much as 38 respondents. Research data collection techniques through questionnaires with likert scales. Analysis results of research data show that: (1) test instruments, all questionnaires are valid and reliable. (2) Classical assumption Test, no mistake in classical assumptions, (3) hypothesis test result, obtained result: (a) The test results showed that confidence, self-image development behaviour, and significant belief in follower competence Affect employee performance. While the behavior of empathetic abilities, actions that reflect the mission, and the creation of opportunities for followers to experience success does not significantly affect the performance of employees. (b) The F-test results show that empathetic abilities, actions that reflect the mission, confidence, self-image development behaviour, confidence in follower competence, creation behaviour for followers to experience a successful Together have significant effect on the employee's performance. (c) Multiple linear regression test results show that variable regression coefficient of confidence has the most coherent value, so that the confidence variable is the dominant variable affecting the employee's performance. (d) The result of the coefficient of determination test obtained the number of Adjusted R Square coefficient of 0.708 or 70.8%, meaning that the charismatic leadership variable is able to explain the variation of employee performance variables by 70.8% and the remaining 29.2% influenced by other variables outside Models are researched.
