Abstract

Population growth in an area will affect the availability of socio-economic facilities and infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to examine the population growth factors in the District of Masaran Sragen Regency in 2013-2017 and analyze the effect of population growth on the availability of socio-economic facilities and infrastructure in the District Masaran Sragen in 2013-2017. The method used in this research is secondary data analysis method. Secondary data were taken from institutions related to research from 2013-2017. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis with village area analysis units. The approach used is the environmental approach by taking the theme of the analysis of the relationship between human activities and the environment. The results showed that the population growth rate in Masaran District from 2013-2017 was 1.9%. The highest population growth is in the Village of Sidodadi. Demographic factors that most influence population growth are birthing with an average crude birth rate of 11.87 people / one thousand population (2013), 12.47 people / one thousand population (2014), 13.11 people / one thousand population (2015), 13 , 44 people / one thousand population (2016) and 12.87 people / one thousand population (2017). The effect of population growth on the availability of socioeconomic facilities and infrastructure in Masaran Subdistrict shows that in 2013 the R2 correlation value of 0.157 means that population growth in the study area only contributed 15.7% to socioeconomic facilities. In 2014, the correlation number R2 was 0.136, meaning that population growth in the study area only contributed 13.6%. In 2015, the correlation number R2 was 0.127, meaning that population growth in the study area only contributed 12.7%. In 2016, the correlation number R2 was 0.147, meaning that population growth in the study area only contributed 14.7%. Whereas in 2017 the correlation rate R2 of 0.165 means that population growth in the study area only contributed 16.5%. The existence of a correlation value or the relationship between population growth with the availability of socio-economic facilities and infrastructure shows that population growth that occurs in Masaran District will have an impact on the availability of educational facilities, health facilities and economic facilities with the value of the closeness of each relationship is different. Villages that have a high influence between population growth and socio-economic facilities are Sidodadi Village, Jirapan Village, Masaran Village, Kliwonan Village, and Pilang Village.
