Abstract

This research aims to describe factors that cause bullying among millennial era students. The research method using qualitative methods, and the type of research is case study. The research informant is study were two students who were victims of bullying, two victims of bullying, and two teachers of SMK Muhammadiyah North Klaten City. Researchers took the data by interviewing, observation and documentation. The validity of the data is compare the information obtained with other information from other informants. Techniques for data analyzing using data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results showed the factors causing bullying in millennial era students (case studies on students of SMK Muhammadiyah North Klaten City) family factors that are less harmonious, incomplete (parents die or divorced), imperfect socialization processes from their families, poor communication between parents and children, as well as unfair parenting, peers (at school and outside the school environment) who behave in bullying, schools that allow or do not apply strict sanctions to students who bully as well as media that often display scenes of bullying behavior
