Abstract
Dyestuffs are organic compounds that are difficult to decompose, resistant to resistance, and toxic. In the textile industry, black acid is one of the colors of thiazine that is often used, but water pollution can be used. A safe way to reduce air pollution is by using an oxidizer. One of the oxidizers that can be used is ferrate. Ferrate synthesis is carried out using a solution of Fe (NO3)3 and NaOCl as an oxidizer under alkaline conditions. Ferrate is a chemical that has dual functions that have the potential to simultaneously carry out oxidation and coagulation in the manufacture of glass. In this study, the effect of pH and molar ratio on the completion of ferrates with black substances was studied. The pH parameters used are 6; 6.5; 7; 7.5; 8, while the molar ratio is tested by diverting 1: 1; 2: 1; 3: 1; 4: 1; and 5: 1. Keywords: acid black, ferrate, pH, and molar ratio
