Abstract
This study aims to describe, shape the character of caring for the environment in schools, following coordination and solutions. This research was conducted on a clean Friday program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Jombor Village, Ceper District, Klaten Regency, with the data collection method using interviews, observations, and documentation. Indicators used include, liberating privacy and preservation of school environment plants, the availability of waste storage and hand washing areas, providing clean and sufficient bathrooms, habituation of sorting organic and inorganic waste, providing cleaning equipment, getting used to using trash as needed, cleaning the yard school, and throwing garbage in the shelter. Data analysis techniques in this study used triangulation of data collection techniques and data sources. The results of the study think about the formation of environmental character in this school that has accustomed the cleanliness and sustainability of the school, by providing landfills and washing hands, providing clean and sufficient bathrooms, nurseries sorting organic and inorganic waste, providing cleaning equipment, getting used to disposing trash in its place, clean the school yard. Thus forming the character of caring for the environment can run well, and foster responsibility for environmental responsibility. However, in any case, the responsibility of students in care, cleanliness, care, hygiene, care, hygiene, care, cleanliness, care, cleanliness, care, cleanliness, coaching in cleaning the school yard, and move slowly in disposing of garbage to the shelter. Solutions to overcome these problems by providing examples, guidance, advice, reprimand, motivation, responses to students who answer or do not regulate school rules, and use learning methods with relevant assignments.
