Abstract

Abstract Uncontrolled of land conversion can threaten the capacity of food availability, this is due to the reduction in agricultural land. This study aims to analyze the development of agricultural land conversion in 2012-2016 that occurred in Central Java Province and the effect of increasing the Total Population, Industrial Companies Number and Gross Regional Domestic Revenue (GRDP) of Central Java Province on the magnitude of agricultural land conversion that occurred in the Central Java Province. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of panel data. This study uses cross section data and time series data for 2012-2016. The results of this study indicate that the Gross Regional Domestic Revenue (GRDP) has a negative and significant effect on the area of agricultural land, while Total Population and Total industrial companies does not have a significant effect on the area of agricultural land.
