Abstract

Distance learning or e-learning is a learning system that does not take place in one classroom, so there is no direct interaction face to face between the teacher and students. The platform used to build a distance learning (e-learning), including Edmodo. With Edmodo's platform, it can help teachers to provide learning material online. The cold research objectives achieved include: 1) Describe the initial conditions of ICT learning management in SMP Negeri 2 Sragen, 2) Describe the development of Edmodo-based Information and Communication Technology (ICT) learning management in SMP Negeri 2 Sragen, 3) Describe the feasibility of the learning management model based on Edmodo developed in SMP Negeri 2 Sragen, 4) Describes the effectiveness of management of Edmodo-based ICT learning in SMP Negeri 2 Sragen. The research used is research and development (R&D). The development model used is the Hannafin and Peck Model, with stages: a needs analysis, design, development and implementation. This development model has been conducted limited trials and field trials, where each test is carried out pretest and posttest. The effectiveness of the development of Edmodo-based ICT learning management in SMP Negeri 2 Sragen resulted in an increase in the average value, standard defiation in limited testing in Class IX-C and field testing in Class IX-A and IX-B through paired sample t test application SPSS, so Edmodo is proven to be appropriate.
