Abstract

Poverty is a problem for every country including Indonesia, which is a developing country. Poverty is a condition of inability to meet minimum living standards. Both clothing, food and shelter. It usually occurs because of the unequal welfare of the community resulting in social inequality. This study aims to analyze the effect of GRDP, HDI, Investment, and unemployment rates on poverty levels in East Java Regency / City in 2013-2017. The data used in this study are combined secondary data from cross section data and time series data from 2013-2017. Data was obtained from relevant agencies namely the East Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPM&PTSP) of East Java Province. The method used is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that HDI had a significant effect on poverty levels, while GRDP, investment, and unemployment did not have a significant effect.
