Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe in detail and clearly the management of Geography learning based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which includes learning preparation, teacher preparation, learning implementation and evaluation of supervision implementation. Types of qualitative research with ethnographic research designs. Conducting research at Bhinneka Karya 2 Boyolali High School. Data collection techniques using interviews (interviews), observation and study the content of documentation, with informants Geography teachers, Principals and Deputy Principals for Student Affairs. The validity of the data uses the triangulation method. The results of the study include firstly, the preparation of GIS-based Geography learning in Boyolali's Bhinneka Karya 2 High School through the study of basic competencies, compilation and development of syllabus and arrangement of prota and promises, secondly the preparation of GIS-based geography teachers namely having the qualification of S1 Geography education education and schools allowing each teacher to proceed to S2. Third, the implementation of Geography learning there are three discussions of Geography learning objectives that have been listed in the RPP, learning material that is making thematic maps and how to process geographic data, the method used is lecture, question and answer, and assignments, the media used are LCD, Laptops, Projectors , and blackboard. Evaluation of learning used is assessment, assignments and skills assessment. Fourth, Learning Implementation Evaluation, namely the school principal as a supervisor who gives authority and provides policies for every implementation evaluation.
