Abstract

MCK stands for Bathing, Washing, and Toileting is one of the public facilities that are shared by several families for bathing, washing, and defecating in certain residential locations which are considered to have a fairly dense population and low level of economic capability. By applying the principle of utilizing biogas from human waste, it is hoped that in the future this potential can be optimally utilized to meet human needs and to reduce dependence on government gas use. The method used by the writer is that the writer makes direct observations at the location to find out how many MCK users there are, the purpose of this study is to find out how much biogas potential that can be produced by MCK in the Prabumulih Market, how many families can use the biogas for their daily needs , as well as designing the biogas reactor that will be used later, from the calculation results obtained biogas produced from the MCK that is equal to 3.5 m3 / day, this result was only able to meet the cooking needs of one family consisting of 5-6 people and to turn on three light during 5 hours only. The design of a waste treatment reactor has several parts: a sewage container and a gas container.
