Abstract
This study aims to dtermine the increase in student reasoning with realistic mathematics learning approaches. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study were the sixth grade students of Surakarta 4 Middle School, totaling 27 students and a mathematics teacher in the VIII A class. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, tests, field notes and documentation. Data analysis technique begins with data reduction then data presentation and final conclusion. The results of this study indicate an increase in student reasoning with realistic mathematics learning approaches. This can be seen from the performance indicators before the action, in cycle 1 and cycle 2 that have increased. Keywords : reasoning, realistic mathematics learning.
