Abstract

Transfer of land functions in Sukoharjo is very widespread, so that the productive land is now only 20,814 ha. The Sukoharjo District Agricultural Office seeks to protect productive agricultural land from being converted. This study aims to determine the distribution of agricultural land to non-agricultural functions in the City of Sukoharjo in 2005-2015. The analytical method used in the study is spatial analysis with GIS through a qualitative approach using overlay techniques. Data collection methods in this study use probability sampling. The results of the study are: Changes that occurred in the study area after the overlapping process of land use maps in 2005 and 2015, which experienced a change from agriculture to non-agriculture (settlements) occurred in 11 villages in the City of Sukoharjo. The village that experienced the most changes from agriculture to non-agriculture (settlement) was Bulakan Village. The increase in population causes the need for land is also increasing, thus affecting the change in land use. Good and adequate accessibility can encourage the interest of the population to live in the study area so that regional development occurs and the impact on land use change. The completeness of facilities and infrastructure such as socioeconomic service facilities in the City of Sukoharjo affects the change in land use.
