Abstract
Background:De Quervain Syndrome is a disease arising from inflammation of the tendon sheath m. extensor pollicis brevis and m. abductor pollocis longus. Symptoms of de quervain syndrome are pain, numbness and tingling.Of these symptoms cause pain and limited movement of the thumb towards extension and abduction. Objective:To determine the management of physiotherapy in reducing pain and spasm with the Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) modality, Ultra Sound (US), and Release. Results:After doing therapy for 3 times, the results of pain reduction in silent pain obtained T1 = 0 to T3 = 0, tenderness from T1 = 3 to T3 = 1 and motion pain from T1 = 5 to T3 = 3, while using miofacial release in the case of de quervain syndrome to reduce spasm when there is areduction in spasm. Conclusion:Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Ultra Sound (US), and RELEASE can overcome problems in the case of De Quervain Syndrome.
