Abstract
Landslides are one of the disasters that often occur in Indonesia, for this reason, serious management from the government is needed to minimize landslides. West Semarang District has a potential for landslide vulnerability is quite large, because part of the area of West Semarang is a former mining area for reclamation of the Semarang coast. The former mining area which is no longer active has been used as a residence for the people until now. Some residents set up residential buildings without looking at security, endangering themselves and others. The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the distribution of the level of landslide vulnerability in the District of West Semarang, 2) to determine the distribution of validation of the previous landslide event against the landslide distribution. The method used is a survey method using area sampling techniques based on each group of land units that have 4 (four) types of similarity in land characteristics namely; land use, slope, soil type and landform. The unit of land that is sampled is the largest land unit of each land unit. Units of land produced as many as 43 units of land that will be used as an analysis unit for the assessment of the level of avalanche vulnerability distribution. There are 6 variables that are used as supporting parameters to determine landslide vulnerability, namely, soil type, geology, slope, rainfall, land use and vegetation density, then overlapping to be made as a map of landslide vulnerability. Distribution analysis of the level of landslide vulnerability is processed using a tiered scaling technique with ArcGis 10.2 software. The results showed that; 1) the research area has four criteria for landslide hazard, namely non-hazard, low vulnerability, moderate vulnerability, and high vulnerability, 2) validation test shows that the location of the most landslides is in the area of moderate hazard as many as 18 points, high hazard 8 points and low vulnerability 3 point
