Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1). Application of market day activities to foster entrepreneurial skills in SDTQ Al-Abidin Banyuanyar Surakarta. 2). The process of growing the ability of entrepreneurship through market day activities at SDTQ Al-Abidin Banyuanyar Surakarta 3). Teacher barriers and solutions to foster entrepreneurial skills in market day activities at SDTQ Al-Abidin Banyuanyar Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using an interactive model. The validity of the data uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that: 1) The application of market day activities in growing entrepreneurial ability can be seen from several aspects in accordance with teacher expectations, namely: a) Where children can operate money and manage expenses and save income, b) create products such as accessories, food and drink, c) Through recycling, utilizing materials and goods that are around to be used as valuable goods such as stick ice cream which is drawn and colored and resold 2) The process of growing the ability of entrepreneurship in market day activities runs relatively slowly. This can be seen from various aspects, namely: the level of self-confidence increases compared to before the existence of market day activities and the ability to interact with others when carrying out their respective roles of being sellers and buyers. 3) Barriers and solutions in market day activities are: a) Lack of understanding of parents about the importance of market day activities in growing entrepreneurs b). Lack of understanding when becoming an entrepreneur and feeling less confident. c) Not yet fully understanding market day which requires teacher assistance. The solutions in market day barriers are: a) To provide guidance to children's parents. b) Give motivation and eduction to children so they can be more confident in creating a product. c) Assistance in market day activities helps teachers to supervise when children interact with other children as sellers or buyers.
