Abstract
This study aims to describe cases of persecution that took place during the campaign of the 2015 Regent election which was handled by the Boyolali Regional Police and the efforts made by the Boyolali Regional Police in dealing with criminal violations in the form of persecution that occurred during the 2015 Regent election campaign. Research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by documentation, observation and interviews. Test the validity of the data by source and technique triangulation. Data analysis applies interactive models through data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the police effort in dealing with criminal acts of persecution during the election campaign of the Regional Head was in accordance with the Criminal Code in the criminal case settlement process which included: 1) The police tried to handle cases of criminal acts of torture at the criminal court examination, 2) criminal persecution at the stage of investigation, 3) Police attempted to handle cases of criminal acts of abuse at the stage of investigation, 4) Polri tried to handle cases of criminal acts of abuse at the stage of arrest, 5) Police tried to handle cases of criminal acts of abuse at the stage of detention, and 6) The National Police tried to handle cases of criminal acts of abuse at the stage of prosecution, and 7) Police tried to deal with cases of criminal acts of abuse at the stage of the court hearing. The cases of persecution that occurred during the 2015 Regional Head election campaign were: 1) a list of reported cases, 2) the cases handled by Boyolali Regional Police, 3) the chronology of events, and 4) the existence of pre-trial and court verdicts.
