Abstract

Life experience is something that has been experienced in the form of a series of processes of education or learning obtained from both the school world and outside the school that became the foundation in the next life. This study aims to determine the life experience of former commercial sex workers undergoing guidance in the Wanodyatama Surakarta Women's Social Service Home. The subjects in this study were 4 ex-commercial sex workers who lived in a home. Technique of collecting interview data and field observations with descriptive narrative analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that various coaching programs and activities carried out in the orphanage provide a variety of pleasant and unpleasant life experiences and their own impressions for the beneficiaries themselves. The various activities held at the institution helped them to live their lives after leaving the orphanage with the provision of creativity that had been practiced, as well as provision of religion or their increased level of religiosity after living their lives in the orphanage.
