Abstract

This study aims to describe the dynamics of a child's future orientation after becoming a former child in conflict with the law (AKH). This study uses a qualitative method-descriptive with participant selection using the snowball sampling technique. The informants in this study amounted to 5 informants with the criteria of an ex-AKH aged 15-21 years with a range of criminal ± 4 months to ± 2 years in LPKA Class I Kutoarjo. In addition, the informant's condition when interviewed had undergone a free period of at least 1 month without recidivism status. Data collection techniques use semi-structured interviews. The results of the study show that the dynamics of the former AKH in future orientation have been able to form the concept of the plan and carry out strategies in the realm of education, employment and marriage. Even former AKH is able to focus on the realm of family and society. Supporting factors consist of self motivation, social support and past experience. The impact that is very influential for the former AKH at this time arises self-confidence, closeness with family and the environment even able to help the family economy from the results of hard work, and does not show any signs of recidivism.
