Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the exchange rate of the rupiah, the amount of export value and the amount of import value on the public purchasing power in Indonesia in the Period of 1987-2017. The independent variables contained in this study are the rupiah exchange rate, the amount of export value and the amount of import value, while the dependent variable in this study is the purchasing power of the Indonesian people. The data used in this study is time series during the period 1987-2017 with a number of data 31. This research was conducted through the official website of the Central Statistics Agency. The method used in this study is PAM. Based on the results of the long-term estimation of the rupiah exchange rate variable and the amount of export value affect the purchasing power of the Indonesian people, while the amount of import value does not have enough influence on the purchasing power of Indonesian people. In the short term the amount of import value also has no significant effect, while the rupiah exchange rate and the amount of export value have a significant effect on the dependent variable.
