Abstract
Social media becomes more interesting by society as the tool of communication along with technological developments, information, and communications. Several social media that are used by Indonesian society are Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Whatsapp dan Instagram. Instagram becomes social media has many users and the number of users continues to grow. Today social media that able to share the photos and videos widely used for promotional media. This research was conducted by interviewing the De Tjolomadoe communication marketing department authorized for @de_tjolomadoe’s Instagram account tourist observations and Instagram accounts were also conducted in this study. The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of Instagram in tourism promotion carried out by De Tjolomadoe. This research is qualitative in nature which is described descriptively. The data analysis used in this study is the source of triangulation analysis. the result of the study shows that De Tjolomadoe has used Instagram as their promotional media to the fullest by utilizing the advantages and features they have.
