Abstract

Abstract Background: Parents have responsibility for family members in educating, nurturing, and guiding children to reach certain stages so that children are ready to face community life. In educating children, parents generally apply some parenting styles. Parenting develops is a pattern of behavior that is applied to children and oriented to the level of time. This habit pattern can be felt by children in both negative and positive terms. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the role of parents with the development and development of children with Down Syndrome aged 1-3 years Method: The research method was used Observation Research which is one of the data collection techniques that not only measures the attitudes of respondents (interviews and questionnaires) but can also be used to record various phenomena that occur in situations and conditions. Results: The data obtained from the chi square test on respondents found results that are p <0.05. Based on the basic decision making above, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Conclusions: Based on these data it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the role of parents with the development and development of Down Syndrome children aged 1-3 years.
