Abstract

Abstract Contributions have meaning that is participation, involvement or involvement and donation. Donations can be in the form of material or non-material. The teacher's contribution can be in the form of ideas, innovation, participation in efforts to meet the goals set by the school. Teacher contributions especially for moral subjects teachers in Muhammadiyah Middle School 1 Gatak Special Program is to carry out various methods such as exemplary, habituation and motivation to students in every teaching and learning activity takes place. These efforts that have been carried out by teachers of moral subjects have a purpose, namely to improve the religious character that is in the students themselves. Researchers studied at Muhammadiyah Middle School 1 Gatak Special Program to examine the contribution of moral subjects teachers in improving the religious character of students for class VII by explaining about the contributions that have been made by the teacher and the methods used in an effort to improve the religious character of the participants student. In this study including the type of qualitative research that uses field research. With the technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation available at Muhammadiyah Middle School 1 Special Program Gatak. Then the data analysis using deductive method is to find the suitability of the data that is in theory with the data in the field. So the results of the research conducted by researchers, found that the contribution made by teachers of moral subjects in improving religious character in students has its own contribution that is giving examples / examples and motivating, encouraging and advising students in each teaching and learning activity takes place and participates in each activity or program being held by the school even though it has not been able to provide ideas, innovation or direct involvement in managing activities or programs in schools that have a purpose in improving religious character.
