Abstract
Character Education has a very important role in developing quality human resources and integrity. Morals, will not grow in someone who does not have the principle of "khasyatullah" (fear of Allah SWT). So to make human beings with character and in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah, requires a balanced education between general education and religion. In building an advanced nation's civilization. The problems studied in this study are: Based on the background above, the researcher formulates the basic problems to be studied: What is the character education model of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari and how to compare the character education model of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari. The purpose of this study is to find out how the educational model of the character of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari and to find out how the character education model is comparable. KH.Ahmad Dahlan and K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari. This research is a (library research), so the entire research activity is focused on the study of books, magazines, documents, notes, text of speeches, stories of history, biography, ekslopedi and others. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that, according to K.H. Ahmad Dahlan Education is a strategic effort to save Muslims from a static way of thinking that moves to dynamic thinking through education that is professionally managed. While the character education model according to, K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari is a human being should always underlie the intention because of Allah taala, in every activity, whether in the process of teaching and learning, and he perpetuates the procedures and model of character education summarized in detail in the book Adab al-alim wa al-muta ' allim.
