Abstract
Background : Fracture is condition where there is discontinuity in bones, epiphyseal plate, and cartilage. Objectives : To know if infra red and isometric exercise can decrease pain and maintenance muscle strength in patient with post ORIF tibial fracture 1/3 proximal dextra. Result : After three times of threrapy, there were a decrease of pain using VAS instrument and an increase of muscle strength using MMT. There was a decrease of pain when patient in state position from T0 : 3,2 to T3 : 2, tenderness pain from T0 : 4 to T3 : 2, and decrease of pain in motion from T0 : 8,3 to T3 : 7. There was no improvement in muscle strength. Ektensor group from T0 : 4 to T3 : 4 and there was no improvement in flexor group from T0 : 4 to T0 : 4. Conclussion : Infra red cannot decrease pain in condition where there is an inflammation sign and isometric exercise can maintenance of muscle strength.
