Abstract

Based on research, osteoarthritis knee (OA) is a degenerative problem that links the cartilage, the lining of joints, ligaments and bones so that it can cause joint stiffness and muscle weakness. The main risk factors for osteoarthritis are age, female sex, obesity, physical activity, genetic factors, race, joint trauma. The purpose of this therapy is to determine the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing pain, and improve joint stability by using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation dan quadriceps bench . The results after three times of therapy, silent pain was obtained at T1 to T3 from a scale of 1.3 to a scale of 0.0. There was a decrease in tenderness at T1 to T3 from a 3.5 scale to a scale of 1.4. Then there is a decrease in motion pain at T1 to T3 from scale 4.7 to scale 2.7 and LGS knee dextra obtained from the active motion of T0 S = 0̊ - 0̊ - 80̊ to T3 S = 0̊ - 0̊ - 125̊, and passive motion from T1 S = 0̊ - 0̊ -100̊ to T3 S = 0̊̊ - 0̊ - 130̊ then MMT obtained the flexor muscle group results from T1 3- to T3 4-, the extensor muscle group from T1 4 to T3 4.
