Abstract

Prescription review activities including administration studies, pharmaceutical compatibility and clinical considerations are important because errors that occur during the drug prescription process can cause medication errors. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of administrative requirements, pharmaceutical requirements and clinical requirements in BPJS outpatient prescriptions in Hospital X Pharmacy Installation in August-December 2018. This research method is descriptive non experimental with retrospective data collection. The recipes studied were 377 recipes. The size of the sample is determined using the Krejcie table. The sampling technique is done by systematic random sampling. The results of the study were analyzed by descriptive method.Compatibility of components of administrative requirements, pharmacetic requirements and prescription clinical conditions seen from the presence or absence of these components in the recipe. The results showed the suitability of administrative requirements namely 100% patient’s name, 100% patient’s age, 100% patient’s gender, 41,38% patient’s weight, 100% doctor name, 100% initial doctor, 100% prescription date. The recipe is in accordance with pharmaceutical requirements, namely dosage form 65,16%, dosage strength 78,47% and compatibility 100% while the suitability of clinical requirements is 91,67% drug dosage, 99,45% duplication of medication and drug interactions 85,99 %.
